Annual General Meeting

Members met on Saturday, July 13, at Spink in London and on Zoom. Dr. Sebastian Hanstein, Head of the Research Center for Islamic Numismatics, Tübingen, delivered a talk on Coins from the Times of the Last Būyids.

Annual General Meeting

Members met on Saturday, June 10, at Spink & Son in London and via Zoom to hear Joe Cribb, Adjunct Professor, Hebei Normal University and Retired Keeper of Coins and Medals, British Museum, deliver the Michael Broome Memorial Lecture “Coins in the Islamic World”.

2022

Annual General Meeting

There was an AGM (Annual General Meeting) on Saturday, November 19 at 2:30 pm London time at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. It was also webcast on Zoom. The invited speaker Nikolaus Schindel delivered the Broome Memorial Lecture. His topic was “Where are we in Sasanian Numismatics?”

Our revised Constitution was approved and new officers were elected at the AGM.

50th Anniversary Conference

ONS 50th Anniversary Conference The ONS 50th Anniversary Conference was held on Zoom, 25–26th June 2022.

XVI International Numismatic Congress

The XVI International Numismatic Congress was held on September 11-16, 2022 in Warsaw, Poland. This Congress is held once every six years and is a great venue to meet numismatists from all over the world.

There was a reception and informal meeting for the ONS at the National Museum, where we were hosted by Andrzej Romanowski, Head of the Numismatic Department, on the evening of Thursday September 15th.

2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The 2021 ONS AGM took place on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
